Solo Recitals 1. Classical Marimba Recital
Although being a percussionist, Pedro Carneiro is a regular guest in several international classical music festivals and concert series, such as the Folles Journées, Schumannfest in Düsseldorf or the Festival Classique au Vert in Paris. This programme is perfect for a classical/chamber music festival or concert series. Carneiro's profound musicianship allows him to perform these transcriptions - either his own or by others such as L. H. Stevens - and his mastery of the baroque, classical and romantic violin and keyboards repertoire, performed on a 5 octave marimba, makes for an intimate programme, far from the usual fireworks of percussion playing.
Carneiro has in repertoire works by Bach (G Minor Violin Sonata BWV 1001, OR one of the Cello Suites, OR Lute Suites AND several chorales), Schumann (excerpts from Album for the Young, op. 68) Debussy (Children's Corner) Khachaturian (The Adventures of Ivan) and Bartók (excerpts from Sz. 42)

8. Pedro Carneiro: Rewired
Pedro Carneiro commissioned works for solo marimba and computer to composers world-wide. The live interaction between marimba and computer make a strong, poetic programme. For instance, in Climent's work, Carneiro uses gloves with tilt sensors, creating a visual impact (the choreography of the hands) which can be directly experienced/heard/seen by the audience. A project in which technology colaborates with the wonders of human imagination and creativity.
